Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

On the way to Hofer Lakes, we observed recent point releases that spread out and picked up a fair amount of snow. There was about 18 inches of new storm snow, loose and unconsolidated. It was bonding pretty well to melt crust. Skied 30 to 35 degree slopes and had sluffs going , with us as we skied.
It was snowing hard and we were watchful of not skiing into terrain traps.
