Observations
Toured up Phat Ridge and observed the debris from the cornice failure that happened recently. Dug a pit on a sheltered east aspect at 8000 ft. Had an ECTN12 a few inches down on the new-old snow interface as well as ECTN17 below a crust about 16" down. Decided to stick to slopes that were 30 degrees or less and found nice riding on shady aspects.
