Observations

Skied from 3000' to 5500' on Mount Emily yesterday and today. Lower snowpack has went from nice ET snow in January to TG degraded snow in February. 8"_of new snow sits on a melt freeze crust then about 2' with no recognizable layers . I could get this layer to collapse around my boots especially in more shady areas as I reclimbed the skin track. Today at higher elevation I had collapses in shady areas and observed the lose wet slide that occurred yesterday probably about mid afternoon. Powder was holding for one more day on east to north slopes. There was a temperature inversion with colder snow down low.
