Mixed group ski & snowshoe. Went up the cat track to the SE out to the cell tower & returned along the ridge to the top of the ski area. Mostly hard crust, with some areas in full sun softening an inch or two at the surface. Skis/snowshoes would occasionally collapse through the top crust and sink an inch or two. Dug a pit just off the backside in the trees, about 80 cm deep on a 30-35 degree slope. Snowpack was quite wet all the way to the bottom of the pit. 2 thin crusts - one about 20 cm down, one about 45 cm down, snow well bonded to both. Compression test CTH(28), BRK. No avalanche activity observed on our trip.
