Skinned up Phat Ridge to just below ridgeline. Saw a small-moderate sized cornice failure from the 12/13 storm into Salt Creek drainage. It was pretty contained to the upper part but was definitely stiff and layer cakey with 3' cubes of debris.
Temps in the teens, steady and gusty wind first out of the south and then out of the northwest, light snow for the whole tour.

CTE7 resistant planar 10cm down--seemed to be a change within the latest snow cycle
CTM13 rest of column kinda broke near the base at this point
Didn't do an ECT but just poking the shovel around the pit there was a lot of cohesion.
Definitely three or four crunchy layers that begin 70cm down that are then on top of sugar close to the ground. New snow was pretty consistent top to bottom. Fluffy but had some weight to it. No surface hoar noted after one super cold night even in wind protected areas.
