We dug a pit on a NE aspect at 8000 feet on a 15 degree slope. There seemed to be two separate slabs that propagated somewhat easily, the first at 30cm and second at about 60cm. We also noted some wind slab formation and a southerly wind at about 30 mph with light snow with surprisingly light powder, it was much colder than at the base of the resort. Total snow depth was 145cm and coverage was good. We didn't see any avalanches or experience any whumpfing or cracks, but decided to still play it safe and stick to low angle terrain.
