Bottom Line

Observed whumfing on flat terrain, intense wind transport, and 30-40cm's of new storm snow since Dec 8th. New snow in the previous 24hrs ~10cms estimated. Digging revealed at least one (potentially two) very unstable layer interfaces and weak snow at the ground. Storm snow was very cohesive and did appear to have settled noticeably in places (settlement cones on trees). Ski Pen: 35cm, Boot Pen: 100cm at pit location. Air temp at 7500' was -5C with strong winds from the North. Intense blowing snow.
