Observations

Our group rode the Cornucopia - Clear Creek Area and observed the temperature rise throughout the day. The rise in temps warmed up the snowpack. We also witnessed surface glare just above the treeline on southern aspects. Late in the day we noted a wet loose avalanche east of Red Mountain on a southern aspect. The point release was at 7950 ft elevation and fanned out over roughly 300 meters down a steep slope greater than 35 degrees. There was low to moderate south wind and light transport was noticed along the ridgeline throughout the afternoon.
