Signs of Unstable Snow

Observations

Toured to above Hoffer Lakes. Dug a pit at 7700 ft on a NE aspect, 25 degree slope @ 14:00. Total snow depth was around 190 cm. Atmospheric river crust consistently 50-60 cm below surface. Weak facets failed above crust on CTH24 BRK @ 48 (not a clean break), ECTX. Snowpack was generally right side up and no storm slabs observed at this elevation.
